The Race: The Sires Produce is a Group 1 set weights for 2yo in the second week of The Championships at Randwick first run in 1867. Runners often back up in the Champagne Stakes the following week and many horses have won both races. Fillies generally have a good record in this against the Colts & Geldings.

Track Bias: Inside barriers are usually preferred at the 1400m start which is positioned in a chute off the course proper just before the first turn. Rail is usually in the True position for the first week of racing at Randwick during The Championships, going is usually fair when the ground is Good but suits the on pace runners when rain affected.
