Top Racing Links:
Rosehill Sat. 24th March 2018. Fixed Odds Win prices from Sportsbet Fri. afternoon.
Race 4 Ranvet Stakes Group 1 WFA 2000m.
Gailo Chop ($1.90) led to win at Caulfield and has a good record on wet tracks, should be in the finish. Harlem ($11) won the Australian Cup at Flemington over this trip last start, wet track form is a little suspect. Prized Icon ($10) placed over this t/d on a Heavy track this time last year, including. Mare Single Gaze ($6) is terrifically consistent but doesn’t win many, good record at this t/d and ok on wet.
Race 5 George Ryder Stakes Group 1 WFA 1500m.
Hard to find anyone willing to tip against Winx ($1.10) who lines up in this for the third straight year, may not make for a great betting race but she’s certainly entertaining to watch. Looking for place chances to construct a First Four - Happy Clapper ($14) won at Randwick first up and has chased Winx a few times, hasn’t a great record Heavy though. Invincible Gem ($27) battled away first up and will be fitter for the run, can handle the wet. Kementari ($7.50) has been racing well in 3yo company and steps up to WFA here, have to include.
Race 6 Rosehill Guineas Group 1 3yo Set Weights 2000m.
Ace High ($4.60) will have supporters but no form on rain affected tracks is the concern. Kiwi Vin De Dance ($6) won the NZ Derby over 2400m this year (as did last year’s winner Gingernuts) and wet tracks are no worries. Cliffs Edge ($7.50) has a good record at this distance including a last start win at the Valley, needs to go forward from the inside gate but another of the chances. Furore ($16) is unbeaten in 4 starts and having his first try in town, drawn to go forward and could add value to the exotics. So You Win ($46) is unbeaten on wet tracks and suited here at level weights.
Race 7 Golden Slipper Group 1 2yo Set Weights 1200m.
Written By ($5) likes to lead, is unbeaten in 4 starts and has a win on Heavy – last Blue Diamond winner to take this was Sepoy in 2011. Santos ($10) led and found something at the end to win the Skyline, going well enough to figure in the finish. Aylmerton ($18) hasn’t done anything wrong winning the Todman last start and gets Berry to ride, still not fancied in the early betting but worth including in multiples. Performer ($10) dropped Bowman last start in the Todman when the hot favourite, blinkers go on. Sunlight ($4.20) has winning form into this, untried on a wet track is the only concern.
Have a good weekend, happy punting!
