Rosehill Race 7 The Golden Rose 1400m.
Lean Mean Machine ($5.5) put in a great run to win first up on a Heavy Track at Randwick, one of the main chances. The Autumn Sun ($4.2) had no luck in the Stan Fox when resuming and sill ran into a place, fitter now and can get back into the winners stall again. Graff (3.2) goes well here and had 2 good runs since resuming, top chance again. Sandbar ($23) may not have been suited on a wet track but wasn’t far away last start, go on previous win in the Rosebud. Danawi ($51) was also beaten on a Heavy track in the Stan Fox, previous form was a win and a place when leading the field, could get into a minor place if they do that again here.
Caulfield Race 7 Bendigo Bank Foundation Cup 2000m.
Folkswood ($5.5) usually goes well fresh, wide gate a concern but could get into a place first up. Venice Beach ($7.5) showed ability when placed first up, winning range is over longer trips but can place again. Nights Watch ($3.2) ticks all the form boxes and can’t be left out. Rising Red ($17) is back to the right distance here and fitter for the first up run. Northwest Passage ($27) likes to lead and is drawn well, down in weight here under these conditions and could be value for the exotics.
Caulfield Race 8 Rupert Clarke Stakes 1400m.
Jungle Cat ($13) was unbeaten last campaign and is down in class here. Home Of The Brave ($3.9) has recorded 2 good runs here and is a specialist at the distance. Osborne Bulls ($7) won the Regal Roller first up, usually gets back and likely to be running on late. Hellova Street ($23) looks suited under handicap conditions, capable of going forward and rarely misses a place lately. Oregons Day ($11) is always close to the action and competitive in some good quality races, running on late in the Memsie and down to 53kg here.
Have a good weekend, happy punting.
