Feature Race, Barriers Info & Starting Positions:
Murray Bridge is a significant regional racing centre hosting 14 race meetings a year as well as very many more community functions. The track is oblong with 2 open corner, the home straight is about 400m long and allows backmarkers the chance to pick up the leaders. It is not unusual to see horses spread right across the track in the finishing sprint although it is possible to lead all the way and win. The back straight is really a flattened curve but the 1600m start is in a long chute which gives them all a long run to gain a position for the long final bend. Generally a fair track with little discernible bias.
